Here comes an exciting video clip – the teaser trailer for the upcoming thriller “Babycall”. In its 30 seconds it gives you a great idea of the film’s chilling mood. Definately something to look forward to! “Babycall” is set to release this February in Sweden and March in Norway.
Here’s a great early Christmas present for all visitors and fans of the “Millenium” trilogy. The video archive has been updated with an excerpt of the 2009 documentary “Millenium: The Story” on the life and work of Stieg Larsson, featuring an interview with Noomi on playing Lisbeth Salander (the interview was taped during rehearsals for Medealand). Then, a making of for “The Girl Who Played with Fire” – very interesting to see how the final scene of the film was made. And finally, an on-set interview with Noomi while shooting “The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest”. Enjoy the new clips!
Many thanks to the New York Times for bringing this to my attention: In this weekend’s magazine, The New York Times Magazine showcases exclusive photos and striking video online of 14 actors who defined cinema in 2010, including James Franco, Natalie Portman (who graces the cover), Matt Damon, Michael Douglas, Jesse Eisenberg, Javier Bardem, Robert Duvall, Annette Bening, Anthony Mackie, Noomi Rapace, Tilda Swinton, Vincent Cassel and more!
Directed by fashion photographer Solve Sundsbo and music by Owen Pallett, here they are striking some of the classic attitudes of cinema, turning their bodies and faces into instruments of pure, deep and enigmatic emotion. You will, of course, recognize them immediately and admire their grace, daring and skill. But you also may be startled to see how thoroughly themselves they are in the midst of pretending otherwise. This year’s great performers show – with a few gestures and props but without dialogue or story – what acting is. The New York Times’ website not only features a fantastic photograph of Noomi but also a stunning video clip which you can see below.
A couple of new video clips have been added to the video archive, all excerpts of Noomi’s previous work on Swedish films. They include her 1997 professional film debut “Sanning eller konsekvens” (with many thanks to Klara for providing this clip!), “Älskar, älskar och älskar” (the television adaptation of the 2002 play “Det epileptiska riktmärket”), “Du och Jag” (2004) and her award winning performance in “Daisy Diamond” (2007). Enjoy the clips!
Added more video clips from the “Millenium” trilogy to the site’s new video archive. Have a look at the overview below and enjoy watching!
Here comes a fantastic new feature to Noomi Rapace Online – a video archive! Have a look at trailers and scenes of her films, latest television segments and both recent and older talkshow appearances. There is already much to discover with more to come. Enjoy!
Time Magazine is full of praise for Noomi, as you can read in the following article, accompanied by an exclusive Q&A video: Lisbeth Salander, the character at the center of Stieg Larsson’s three novels (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played with Fire and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest) and their Swedish film versions, has ascended to a rare height in crime fiction: she’s become the female Hannibal Lecter.
Also yesterday, Noomi was a guest on KTLA (her first American television appearance) to promote this weekend’s release of “The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest”. She talked about making the film, what an impact the trilogy has had on her career – and Oscar buzz for Lisbeth Salander. The whole appearance can be watched below.
