Noomi Rapace had a ball filming Sherlock Holmes 2 with Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law. The actress, who starred in the Swedish version of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo film trilogy, enjoyed the change of atmosphere in Guy Ritchie’s action sequel, titled Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows. “(It was) good, we had so much fun with both guys, Robert and Jude. It kind of felt like we were playing – it was very playful, and easy and fun,” she revealed. Noomi’s next role in Prometheus sees her working alongside Oscar-nominee Ridley Scott. “Now I’m working with Ridley and he is something completely different. To be able to do Sherlock first, and then with Ridley. For me, to work with Ridley, it is a dream coming true,” she said. The 31-year-old – who won best actress at the Jameson Empire Awards – said Prometheus has its roots in Ridley’s first sci-fi film, Alien. “It is kind of related to the first one in one way. It’s the first sci-fi movie Ridley is doing after Blade Runner so he is stepping, not back, but into that universe again.” (source: The Associated Press)

The “Prometheus” cast is starting to fill out with acclaimed actors including Charlize Theron, Michael Fassbender and Idris Elba. But for many, it all starts with Noomi Rapace, the leading lady in Ridley Scott’s hotly anticipated return to the science fiction genre.

Currently best known for playing Lisbeth Salander in “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo,” Rapace is set for the role of scientist Elizabeth Shaw, the supposed protagonist of “Prometheus.” It’s a daunting prospect for any actor who hopes to take the reins of an “Alien” spinoff from former leading lady Sigourney Weaver, but as Rapace explains it, the comparisons between Shaw and Ripley won’t last for long. “She’s definitely her own [character],” Rapace told us during a recent interview on the set of “Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows,” adding that “Prometheus” does indeed have connections to the “Alien” series.

On the set of the sequel to Guy Ritchie’s film, the 38-year-old actor has already made a big impression on his co-star Noomi Rapace, 31. “Jude is a gentleman,” swoons Rapace, who starred in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. “I’ve been having so much fun with the boys.” Speaking at the Elle Style Awards, she adds: “I play a gypsy called Sim. She’s quite tough. She runs off to Paris and Sherlock goes off to find her. I can’t really tell you if she’s a love interest, but she’s a good character and a strong personality.”

ET’s Kevin Frazier is on the London set of the highly anticipated ‘Sherlock Holmes’ sequel with Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law. Watch the video for all the action! “We said, if I remember rightly, on the last one that we had so much fun, and if everyone else would too, that if they wanted us to do more, we would – and it seems they wanted us to do more, so that’s why we’re back,” Jude tells Kevin. “It’s gone to the next level.”

Once again directed by Guy Ritchie, the ‘Sherlock Holmes’ sequel (in theaters Dec. 16) finds Robert returning as Holmes and Jude returning as Watson in turn-of-the-century London and facing their toughest adversary, Professor Moriarty, played by Jared Harris. Swedish ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ star Noomi Rapace also joins the sleuthing pair for all the action as a mysterious femme fatale. “Noomi’s fantastic,” says Robert, and Jude agrees, “Noomi’s been really good. Really, really good. [She’s] been a great addition. … You ask about who’s in good shape, I think she would kick both of our asses – she’s a tough cookie.” “She likes to fight,” concurs Robert. More buzz on the “Sherlock Holmes” sequel can be found on the Entertainment Tonight website.
