Noomi’s most recent feature film, “Assassin Club”, has been released in most countries on home video and on-demand by now. It’s an action flick you’ve either heard nothing about – or nothing good. Henry Golding leads as a nice-guy assassin, who is hired to kill six comptetitive colleagues to save his life and the life of his girlfriend. Noomi is featured in a dual role as one of the assassins and an Interpol gent “with a head-scratching accent that sounds like a cross between a Southern hick and a Lithuanian cabby,” according to one of the film’s scathing reviews. You can check out its streaming availability. Screencaptures from the Blu-Ray have been added to the photo gallery.

“Assassin Club” will be released in UK theaters tomorrow to as little buzz as possible. While I’m still puzzled by the early, and equally mute, theatrical release in Eastern European countries, the few reviews for its UK release give us a hint why distributor Paramount Pictures doesn’t pay much attention, as The Guardian calls it a “trashy hitman runaround is generic multiplex filler” in its review. The theatrical trailer (identical to the previously released one) can be watched below. If you want to make your own judgement on “Assassin Club”, you will find it in a UK theatre near you by tomorrow.

According to Deadline, Paramount has quietly struck a deal for completed action-thriller Assassin Club, starring Henry Golding, Noomi Rapace, Sam Neill and Daniela Melchior. Via a multi-million dollar deal struck in previous months, Paramount took worldwide rights excluding Middle East, Spain, France and Eastern Europe (which have been sold to other distributors). The Italian release on 77 screens took place this month and we understand a UK theatrical release is being lined up for March. U.S. release date hasn’t been set. The movie follows an assassin (Golding) who is given a contract to kill seven people around the world only to discover the targets are also assassins who have been hired to kill him. EuropaCorp veteran Camille Delamarre directed the movie, which shot in Italy last year. The project is produced and financed by sales firm Film Bridge International, which struck the deal with Paramount, with funding from 828 Media Capital and Banc of California. Script comes from Thomas C. Dunn.

A new batch of production stills, international posters and trailer screencaptures for “Assassin Club” has been added to the photo gallery, alongside two new production stills for “Django”. After “Assassin Club” has had a rather odd early release in many Eastern European countries this January, it will receive wider releases in March, just in time for Django’s television premiere on Sky and Canal Plus.

Among Noomi’s upcoming projects in the action thriller “Assassin Club”, in which she plays Falk, one of seven contract killers hired to kill one of their own. While there have been no news on the film since its 2021 filming in Italy – out of the blue there are now a first trailer, pictures – and a release date IN THREE WEEKS for most Eastern European countries, including Bosnia (titled “Klub Ubica”) and Slovenia (titled “Klub Morilcev”). IMDb lists an April 14 release date for the United Kingdom, so I assume more dates will follow for a release in th Spring. The trailer, which looks… well, a bit odd, can be found below.

When assassin Morgan Gaines (Henry Golding) is offered a contract to kill seven people, he quickly discovers that his targets are also assassins contracted to kill him. The only way out of the situation is to leave a trail of corpses and find the genius who set the trap for them. Morgan sets out to hunt down the humans, one by one. Meanwhile, the assassins settle on Sophie (Daniela Melchior), Morgan’s love interest. They use her as a pawn in their deadly game, forcing Morgan to make an impossible sacrifice: the only way to save her life is to lose his own.
