Official synopsis: A branch of the Secret Police begins to feel threatened by the outcome of the “Zala” incident. Now, in order to protect themselves, they decide to silence those who may be considered a threat to them, including Lisbeth.
Zalachenko “visits” Lisbeth in the hospital: This has been a very chilling part of the third book that unfortunately didn’t make it into the film. As Lisbeth and Zalachenko are both on the same hospital station, Zala crawls out of his bed one night to kill Lisbeth. In panic of being still paralized, she sees him standing in her door before a nurse comes by to take him back.
Dr. Teleborian “visits” Lisbeth in the hospital: A similiar scene as the one mentioned above is when Dr. Peter Teleborian, who kept her strapped down each night for over a year when she was 13 and tried to force feed her psychiatric drugs, returns to the scene to write a false report. He slips into her hospital room to say “hello”, leaving her in shock.
