A new talkshow appearance has been added to the video archive. On May 04, 2009, Noomi promoted “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” on the French talkshow “Le Grand Journal”.
Don’t miss the Critics Choice Movie Awards, airing tonight at 9pm/et on VH1. Noomi is nominated as Best Actress for “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” alongside Annette Bening, Natalie Portman, Nicole Kidman, Michelle Williams and Jennifer Lawrence. This will mark Noomi’s first appearance at a televised American awards ceremony, and – unless the Oscars don’t surprise us with some Noomi love – will probably be her only one since her performance was overlooked by most other award juries in the USA. Be sure to find all results, pictures and video on the Critics Choice Awards here tomorrow!
According to the Guardian, Stieg Larsson’s ‘s partner Eva Gabrielsson plans to finish the fourth novel he left uncompleted on his death. According to early details culled from Gabrielsson’s memoir of her life with Larsson, Millennium, Stieg and Me, which is set for publication in France and Scandinavia next week, Larsson had written 200 pages of a fourth novel in his internationally successful Millennium series before he died. Gabrielsson wants to complete it because, she says, “Stieg and I often wrote together”. Larsson’s partner has refused to reveal details of the partially completed novel’s plot, but promised that its charismatic but damaged protagonist Lisbeth Salander “little by little frees herself from her ghosts and her enemies”. And, she said, she will only finish the book when she gets undisputed rights to Larsson’s work from his family, who inherited the author’s assets when he died intestate.

She shares the category with Annette Bening (The Kids Are All Right), Jennifer Lawrence (Winter’s Bone), Natalie Portman (Black Swan) and Hailee Steinfeld (True Grit). This year’s ceremony will take place at the BFI London on the South Bank for the first time, on 10 February 2011, in aid of the BFI archive.
Noomi has won the Satellite Award as Best Actress in a Drama for “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo”. The film was also awarded as Best Foreign Language Film. Since the Golden Globes and Screen Actors Guild Awards have passed Noomi as a potential nominee, it’s nice to see her mentioned with some international recognition for her stunning work. Noomi wasn’t present at the awards show since she is still filming the “Sherlock Holmes” sequel in London, but she sent a very nice recorded message, which you can see at the video archive.
