As previously reported, Noomi is featured in the new Rolling Stones music video for “Doom and Gloom”. The video has been released two days ago and it’s spectacular! Epic! It has Mick Jagger and Noomi Rapace on the same screen, so there’s basically not much more to say. The video revolves around the seven deadly sins. Noomi Rapace rolls around in money which represents greed, she eats fast food until her head explodes which represents gluttony, and she lays around in bed which represents sloth. Between shots of Rapace there are scenes of the band performing “Doom and Gloom” in an abandoned building. Have a look at the video below and in full glory at Vimeo. Be aware of nudity and, um… vomit?

The song “Doom and Gloom” is the lead single from The Rolling Stones’ most recent release, “GRRR!”. The compilation album was released on November 13. Over 400 HD screencaptures from the music video have been added to the image library. Enjoy!

In a message posted on his Twitter account Wednesday, singer Mick Jagger revealed that the band is working on a promo clip for “Doom and Gloom,” one of two new songs that will appear on The Stones’ upcoming GRRR! compilation. “Had a great video shoot today doing Doom & Gloom with the band & Noomi Rapace, directed by Jonas Åkerlund,” writes Jagger. “Be out in [November], hope you like it.” You can listen to the song on the Rolling Stones’ official Youtube channel. Hopefully the video will be released soon.

The movie has been available digitally, but director Ridley Scott’s Prometheus will be hitting Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray and DVD on October 9. The new trailer for the home release promises that questions will be answered. The Blu-rays will contain over seven hours of bonus material, including an alternate opening and ending, deleted and altered scenes and access to Peter Weyland’s files. You can watch the trailer below and the press release follows. Prometheus opened on June 8 and earned $398 million worldwide. The film stars Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Guy Pearce, Idris Elba, Logan Marshall-Green and Charlize Theron.

Renowned director Ridley Scott takes fans on a gripping sci-fi adventure that “kicks ass so hard and often that it’s impossible not to be thrilled by it” (Peter Travers, Rolling Stone). Launching into space to discover the mysterious creators of the human race, the “genuinely epic” (Tom Long, Detroit News) film, PROMETHEUS, debuts globally on Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray and DVD October 9 from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. An unmatched home entertainment experience, watch the highly-anticipated blockbuster hit in the format it was meant to be viewed, stunning 3D high-definition. Over 100 additional pictures of Noomi’s appearance at this year’s Venice Film Festival, to celebrate the world-premiere of Brian De Palma’s “Passion”, have been added to the gallery. More information, reviews and videos can be found below.

The first reviews are coming in as well. De Palma a la Mod has a wonderful collection of reviews that give more insight on the film. A few excerpts are below, please beware of spoilers. The Hollywood Reporter‘s Neil Young calls Passion a “convoluted Euro-thriller” that “represents a disappointingly anaemic stab at a comeback from Brian De Palma.” Young suggests that while the star presence of Rachel McAdams and Noomi Rapace should garner distribution in the U.S., the film is likely headed for cult status. Regarding Karoline Herfurth’s character, Young writes, “the emergence of Dani in the picture’s second half ranks alongside the script’s few welcome surprises.” Young adds, “By this point, however, proceedings have taken a wayward turn down some unfortunate dead-end alleyways. A grisly murder, the ensuing police investigation – featuring some blundering but impeccably Anglophone cops – and the questionable mental state of a key character are cues for De Palma and his veteran Spanish cinematographer José Luis Alcaine to unleash all manner of distorted lighting-effects and camera-angles.” Screen Daily‘s Lee Marshall feels that “De Palma glues together what feel like two different films in the remake [of Love Crime]: a female rivalry drama-thriller, and a murder mystery. And although the exercise carries an undertow of tongue-in-cheek pastiche, this is so inconsistently applied that if feels like an escape clause.” Marshall appreciates Donaggio’s score, “with its nods at seventies and eighties Italo genre fare,” but is unimpressed with the split-screen sequence, calling it “a waste of the technique, as there is little dramatic or thematic connection between what we see on each side of the split.” Marshall also writes that some of the dialogue provoked bursts of laughter during the press screening.

Additionally, two clips from the festival have been added to the video archive – the press conference (a compilation of about 15 minutes) and the premiere for the film. Regarding the press conference, please be aware of spoilers as well.

A first teaser trailer for Brian De Palma’s “Passion” has been launched by the Toronto International Film Festival, where the film will be shown in competition this year. Although it’s a rather brief look at the film, it’s very exciting and mysterious, especially concerning the characters that Noomi and Rachel McAdams play. The trailer can be watched in the video archive. HD screencaptures have been added to the gallery.

With the screencaptures for “Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows” being added (see previous update), I’ve worked on re-organizing the related clips in the video archive. There are three new scenes from the film, compilation videos of three promotional interviews as well as newly added television reports on the film’s release, by Access Hollywood and Entertainment Tonight, featuring interviews with Noomi. Enjoy the new clips.

I have added three new video clips to the archive – two compilations of press junket interviews with Noomi Rapace and Michael Fassbender, promoting the US release of “Prometheus” and one interview via satellite on NBC Los Angeles. Together, that’s half an hour of new interviews! Enjoy the clips!
