According to the Hollywood Reporter, a who’s who of European cinema is expected to grace the red carpet for the 26th European Film Awards on Dec. 7 in Berlin. Among the A-list names scheduled to attend are Germany’s Diane Kruger, Swedish actress Noomi Rapace and British star Kristin Scott Thomas, according to organizers. At this year’s event, stars from the best film nominees will introduce the six contenders, with Adele Exarchopoulos presenting Blue Is the Warmest Color; Iaia Forte introducing Paolo Sorrentino’s The Great Beauty; Johan Heldenbergh unveiling Belgian dramedy The Broken Circle Breakdown; Giuseppe Tornatore’s The Best Offer being introduced by Sylvia Hoeks; German actress Friederike Kempter presenting Jan Ole Gerster’s Oh Boy and Angela Molina showing off Blancanieves, a Spanish twist on Snow White from director Pablo Berger. Noomi herself is a European Film Award nominee for playing Lisbeth Salander in “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”.
